Maine: The Way Life Used To Be

I’ve seen some late 1960’s time capsule homes in Maine and I have to say I like them better than anything current.  This ad reminded me of them. Green pile carpeting isn’t my thing but still overall the room above has style. I don’t even know how to define the home styles of today!

As you can see, I love 1950’s chrome & Formica. Shown in these pictures are my yellow chrome & Formica table, my green chrome dinette set and a chrome & Formica free standing metal cabinet. The bluebirds are 1940’s wall pockets and the clock is a 1950’s GE model. The red wall phone works although I am looking for a green or yellow phone instead.
